Carefully sourced the MONN Axminster range uses the finest pure new wool. Wool is naturally resilient, a "warm" fibre used for centuries to insulate. By its very nature it is also fire resistant, soil hiding, able to repel moisture. A natural fibre that ages gracefully, has great eco-credentials, while contributing an unmistakable elegance. Blended to 80% Wool, 20% Nylon, this world-wide standard enhances durability, strength and stain resistance. At our state-of-the-art mill in Harrismith, the fibres are carded, spun and dyed, to produce a quality yarn, ensuring better craftsmanship further down the production line and through to the final product.
MONN flatweave rugs are manufactured from 100% Polypropylene, a hardwearing fibre with inherent stain resistant properties. MONN rugs are hard wearing and resistant to fading, with pigments added into the molecular structure during the fibre’s manufacturing and along with UV stabilisers developed for harsh outdoor sun. Flatweave rugs incorporate the entire length of yarn into the carpet weave, making it extra durable without any exposed or cut edges.
